Rahul Bose, an award-winning Indian actor, has been praised by Time magazine as “the superstar of Indian art house cinema” and by Maxim as “the Sean Penn of Oriental cinema.”

As is widely known, however, Rahul is also a highly involved social activist.  In 2007 he started The Foundation, an NGO focused on school six children from the Andamans in Rishi Valley School and running a counseling centre for victimes of sexual abuse during childhood.  He has also served as Ambassador for Oxfam (the first of which from the Asia-Pacific region) and Planet Alert for climate change, as well as on the board of Citizens for Justice and Peace and Breakthrough.

An acclaimed speaker, Rahul continues to deliver motivational speeches on leadership, life choices and public commitment across the world. We welcome Rahul in Canada to let us know how important our voices are in the fight against climate change. He will be speaking to the public, key leaders, and the media about how climate change has impacted South Asia and Island nations and what we in Canada can do to turn this situation around and take action.
